Rising Readers is a reading center dedicated to offering prevention and intervention reading support for students in Pre-K through 5th grade. We provide both online services and in-person assistance at your nearby libraries in Middletown, Smyrna, and Dover, DE.
Our mission is to partner with educators and parents to provide clients with data-driven, individualized, and interactive instruction in a 1:1 or small group setting.

I am a certified reading specialist with over 20 years of teaching experience. I received a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Cheyney University, Master’s in Reading from Wilmington University, and a Doctorate in Cognitive Studies of Reading from Widener University. I am a member of the International Literacy Association and the Reading League. More importantly, I am an avid reader who believes learning to read is a necessity not an option. With hardwork and consistency, I believe every child can learn to read.
